French-Guyana Kourou (3-days)

Day 1:

We leave at 07.30 from Paramaribo to Albina where we make cross over to French – Guyana (St. Laurent) by ferry. From St. Laurent, we continue our journey to Kourou (206 km). After about two hours drive we arrive in Kourou. A city tour and visit the market is one of the attractions for the afternoon. The remaining evening is to own fulfillment.

Day 2:

After breakfast we take the catamaran to Illes du Salut (Devil’s Island). In French called Ille Du Diable, the smallest and northernmost island of the Illes du Salut Kourou near the coast of French – Guiana. Chance of seeing monkeys is really big. visit the museum and La Chapelle Ile Royale is definitely a must. There is a restaurant and souvenir shop on site. We leave in the late afternoon back to Kourou. The possibility to swim is present. Bring your swimsuits and overnight in Kourou.

Day 3:

Kourou is very well known to the launch site where the European Space Organisation E.S.A. do place its launch. After breakfast we take a tour by bus to the spaceport and Jupiter Centre (control room), from where the famous Ariane rocket is launched. After lunch we leave Kourou to St. Laurent. Where we do the cross with the ferry back to Albina then to Paramaribo.

Note: During the launch, there are no sail trips made sailing trip to Devil’s Island will be replaced with a visit to Centre Amer If Kalwachi (Native museum) or day Cayenne.
