Enjoy the wide range of facilities at Danpaati River Lodge. There is a lovely swimming pool built for the swimming enthusiast and a yoga deck for yoga enthusiast. But actually you have little need during your stay at Danpaati. Go delightful ‘hammock tars’, read a book, or take a dip in the river. Thanks to the stairs next to the yoga deck, the beach very accessible. From here you can take a dip in the river without difficulty. Do not worry about piranhas and caimans. They see humans as prey not here!

Lounge restaurant: at Danpaati River Lodge is a lounge with a bar where you can just sit while enjoying a snack or drink. We have a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks on the menu, also as various tasty snacks. The restaurant, which is situated the most delicious local cuisine alongside the lodge. In the dry season, when the beach is largely dry in the Yoga deck is served dinner on the beach. Dine under nothing more than the light of the stars and the moon. Multi Cabin: The island has two triple cabins for families or groups of three people.

River / Forest–cabin: On the other side of the island are seven double cabanas with two single beds all with mosquito nets. Your porch is bordered by a few meters after the broad Upper Suriname River, where the morning while sipping a cup of coffee or tea can enjoy the sunrise and the awakening of the rainforest. You also have a private hammock which gazing lovely river. On the forest side, opposite the central lounge area, three double cabins are also each with two single beds all with mosquito nets and a hammock on the porch. Your porch adjacent to the walkway which takes you around the island, and in the evenings makes the wooded area for wonderful catcalls. Family cabin: Family-cabin is a spacious double up to six person cabana. Multi-cabana comes standard with five single beds all with mosquito nets.

Luxury cabin: The island also has three luxurious cabins for special occasions. This is the most spacious cabins are equipped with a queen size bed and sofa bed. You have a beautiful balcony with a high plateau with a beautiful view of the river! The cabins are equipped, like a mosquito net, towels and sheets.

Village Walk: Get to know the culture and traditions of the Saramaccans. The origin of the Saramaccans is in Africa, where they were once taken away to work on the plantations. Contemporary they are called our inland residents. Their culture and tradition they have maintained. Then the nearest village, which also has a close cooperation with Danpaati River Lodge and is invested, thanks to the proceeds from the Lodge.

Forest walk: According to the experts the jungle of Suriname is one of the best preserved and most beautiful areas of the whole Amazon region. Numerous species of birds occur, large and small mammals and a rich variety of flora and fauna. During a walk you will learn about the medicinal plants and herbs that grow in the forest.

Boat excursions: Danpaati River Lodge offers a number of trips to, ranging from an hour to half a day. For example, you can take the boat to the Tapawatra rapids. Take a dip in the Bihati Sula just half an hour sailing from Danpaati. Or take a night cruise on the river where the probability is very high that you’ll see Caimans. The skill of the boatmen will not leave you untouched!
