Tour description:
A three-hour boat trip on the Commewijne river while enjoying a snack and a drink, with a magical encounter with the Surinamese dolphins, relax on the water, visit a former plantation and a beautiful sunset at the center.
From Leonsberg we sail while enjoying drinks and snacks to the mouth of the Commewijne river where we’re looking for Suriname river dolphins. After some time spent with the dolphins we sail to the former plantation Johan & Margaretha. We eat freshly baked Surinamese snacks on the terrace Rivers will have time to walk around the village. While the sun sets we will return by boat back towards Leonsberg.
CATERING (subject to change):
- Drink: Beer, red and white wine, Borgoe rum, coke, diet coke, Fernandes soft, fresh juice, water.
- Snacks: Three Surinamese chips species, three freshly baked snacks on the plantation (eg Barra bakabana, egg rolls, fried fish, samosas, fish balls.).
Boats:
It is in most cases use is made of a tent boat. Life jackets (also children sizes if predefined) are on board. Also, the tentboat has the necessary lighting to navigate in the dark.
NOTE:
There is never given guarantee of seeing dolphins. The spotting rate is 98%.

Transport to and from departure point:
Guests should use their own transport to the pier of Leonsberg. From the center of Paramaribo is about 15 minutes by car. It is also possible to go to Leonsberg by public transport (line 4, leaving the flat bridge). Upon returning from the trips that depart at 16.00 hours drive no more buses. The guide will by the end of the trip, if desired, call a taxi for guests. If possible trips are also combined. A taxi ride to and from the center costs between 15 and 20 SRD.
