A special tour for the adventurous traveler, it is a trip “Back to Basic.”
We cross the river by Maroon villages to the Indians and go with them into the jungle to get to the Rosenveldt Mountains.

Day 1 – Saturday, February 18, 2017
Arrival – Paramaribo
You depart from Schiphol to Suriname. We land in the afternoon at the airport J.A.Pengel where a bus awaits you, which you then take you to your hotel in downtown Paramaribo.

Day 2 – Sunday, February 19th, 2017 Free Day (breakfast)
Today we use some acclimatization. Calmly explore on a terrace at the waterfront or city.

Day 3 – Monday, February 20, 2017 City Tour (breakfast)
After breakfast there is further acquaintance with the group and discuss the program. Then we go by foot to Paramaribo City sightseeing tour. We visit the historic city like Fort Zeelandia, Wooden Cathedral, and learn about different cultures. We also visit the big market, here you will find an abundance of tropical fruits. The afternoon is spent at leisure.

Day 4 Tuesday, February 21, 2017 To the East – Albina – Wadaa (breakfast / lunch / dinner)
We leave at 7:30 am and ride the bus in about 2 ½ hours to Albina, the border town in the east of Paramaribo. After loading the canoe (boat), tanks of fuel, we leave around 12.00 towards Loka-Loka. The trip takes about 5 hours. Arrival at Camp Wadaa. After unloading and accommodate it’s time to eat for dinner.

Day 5 – Wednesday, February 22, 2017 Hike to the Mina waterfall (breakfast / lunch / dinner).
After breakfast depart with a local boat to the Gran Creek. A cruise of ± half an hour Gran Creek brings us to a walkway leading to the Minaval. We walk around ± 3 hours and then take a dip in the refreshing waters of the waterfall. Then it’s back ± 3 hours. Then we sail back to Camp Waada. It is again time for the evening meal.

Day 6 – Thursday, February 23, 2017 Wadaa – Stoelmans island Drietabbetje (breakfast / lunch / dinner)
After an early breakfast where we see the sun, we sail to Apoma tapu, braving the rapids and the rules of the domestic residents. Superstition or not, sometimes the ban on speaking imposed by various ritual sites. You hardly notice the transition from Marrowijnerivier in Tapanahony river. Then we go towards Stoelmans island. Stoelman island is one of the villages that has suffered during the civil war, and is fully recovered. It is a large village with all amenities, schools and a hospital in the middle of the jungle. We got a tour of the village, where about largely by the government operates. We sail the Tapanahony river and arrive at Sidon Lukoe. Here the night will take place.

Day 7 – Friday, February 24th, 2017 Drietabbetje – Sella creek – Soentje (breakfast / lunch / dinner)
We leave the area of the Maroons. It may be that the canoes somewhat getting stuck, so for that we need your help to get the canoes along the less accessible parts of the river with its rapids over. We spend the night in a camp in front of the Sella Creek at Soentje.

Day 8 – Saturday, February 25th, 2017 Soentje – Apetina (breakfast / lunch / dinner)
After we have seen the sun rise and an early breakfast, we load the canoes to make a long journey across the various rapids to the Indian village Apetina. Depending on the water we arrive in the afternoon. where we stay in the village Apetina.

Day 9 – Sunday, February 26th, 2017 Apetina (breakfast / lunch / dinner)
Leisure. This day is inserted to join the adventures of the past days.
We can, fish, read a book, sunbathe or just relax. In the afternoon we take a tour of the village and we meet with the villagers.

Day 10 – Monday, February 27th, 2017 Tebu top – Grandafutu (breakfast / lunch / dinner)
After breakfast we get ready to go on the road with the Indian canoes to the mountain called Teputop. We climb down the steep slope to the 400 m high plateau to have a beautiful view over the vast tropical rainforest, Tapanahony and its rapids. In the afternoon we sail to Grandafutu to spend the first night in the bush.

Day 11 – Tuesday, February 28, 2017 Grandafutu – Camp at Tutu Creek (breakfast / lunch / dinner)
morning as all bags, barrels and stores are packed to sail further Tutu Creek with Indian canoes. Cruising enjoying the peace and you are surrounded by the tall trees of the jungle. In the afternoon, we make camp for the night in this impressive jungle.

Day 12 – Wednesday, March 1st, 2017 Tutu Creek -Roseveldtgebergte- Tutu Creek (breakfast / lunch / dinner)
After breakfast we take the jungle trek to the Rosenveldt Mountains. On our trek through the jungle pointing guide us special and medicinal plants and beautiful animals that this area is rich. We also see the different frogs, poisonous black and blue. You see lots of colorful parrots and other colorful tropical birds and monkeys and other mammals. Depending on the condition of the group is one of the steep Rosenveldt peaks can be climbed. An alternative is to climb a less steep slope where you have a wonderful view of the Rosenveldt Mountains. On return, the dinner ready in our base camp at the Tutu Creek and we can equip these headphones.

Day 13 – Thursday, March 2nd, 2017 Tutu Creek – Apetina (breakfast / lunch / dinner)
In the morning we load everything in order to take the journey back to Apetina, we sail slowly through the creek to enjoy nature and see what we can spot it in game. also you can buy some souvenirs from the locals in Apetina. Here we will spend the night again.

Day 14 – Friday, March 3rd, 2017 Apetina- Sela creek- Soentje (breakfast / lunch / dinner)
We visit the school to then sail back to Soentje. Where we will spend the night again.

Day 15 – Saturday, March 4th, 2017 Godoholo- Paramaribo. (breakfast / lunch)
After breakfast we sail to Godoholo in 2 hours. From Godoholo we fly back to airport Zorg en Hoop in Paramaribo with a regular service from Gumair. Arrived at the airport at Zorg en Hoop in Paramaribo you will be returned by bus in half an hour to your hotel.

Day 16 – Sunday, March 5th, 2017 Jodensavanna (breakfast / lunch)
By bus from the hotel to Jews savanna. Through the Afobakka road is driven to the new Carolina Bridge at the Suriname River. And we go to the Jewish settlement near the Indian village Redi Dotie. The cemetery, the old synagogue and the healing springs are still there. These date back to 1639 when the first Jews put foot in Suriname. After this interesting and instructive walk we continue our journey to the nearby creek, Blakawatra former private resort of Premier Jopie Pengel where we have lunch and then return to Paramaribo.

Day 17- Monday, March 6th, 2017 Plantation Katwijk and Warappa creek (breakfast / lunch / dinner)
For this trip we leave the water level at a specified time from the hotel by bus to Plantation Katwijk. Here we get a tour of the plantation then we go to the old plantation “Bakkie” where we have lunch and then we Warappa creek sail to the ocean and we see remnants of former plantations. We visit the museum and the botanical garden and then we go back to Paramaribo In the evening you will be offered a nice dinner.

Day 18 – Tuesday, March 7th, 2017 at leisure and departure (o) Morning at leisure
We leave in the afternoon from your hotel to the airport at Zanderij to then leave again for an overnight flight to Amsterdam Schiphol (breakfast).

Day 19 – Wednesday, March 8th, 2017
Arrival in the Netherlands. Over the course of the morning you return to Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam.
